TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The legal team representing presidential candidate Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) submitted additional evidence and conclusions to the Constitutional Court (MK) today, April 16.
“We have submitted 35 additional pieces of evidence,” a member of the legal team, Heru Widodo, said at the MK I Building in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, April 16.
Though the team refused to divulge the specifics of the evidence, it was related to violations of candidate requirements, misuse of social assistance, the impartiality of regional head and village head officials, and information technology issues.
“We include everything as an inseparable part of the conclusions we present,” Heru said.
On the same occasion, the head of the AMIN's Legal Team, Ari Yusuf Amir, expressed optimism that Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar's request will be granted.
“Let’s pray together that all the Honorable Judges will be given steadfastness, courage, and firmness to make the fairest decision possible because all the facts and evidence have been presented in the trial process,” Ari explained.
He confirmed that the conclusions are the summary of the trial process of the election dispute case. “We presented so much, hundreds of pieces of evidence,” he stressed.
The Anies Baswedan camp also presented many witnesses, including various experts from different fields, such as state finance, state administration, survey, and IT.
