TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Erika Retnowati, Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Executive Agency (BPH Migas), said that the stock of fuel oil (gasoline, kerosene, aviation fuel) during the period of Ramadan and Eid 2024 is in a safe condition, with enough volume for more than 20 days.
Erika said that BPH Migas and Pertamina have 115 BBM terminals, more than 7,400 gas stations, 71 DPPUs, and other additional facilities in high demand areas on standby during the Ramadan and Eid post period.
"In general, there are sufficient fuel stocks for gasoline, gas oil, kerosene and aviation fuel, with volumes that can last more than 20 days," Erika said in a statement, Wednesday, April 3.
Erika estimates that during the Ramadan and Eid Post period this year, as well as for the distribution of fuel products during this period, gasoline and aviation fuel types will increase by 11 percent and 1.3 percent respectively, while gas oil will decrease by 15 percent.
She said that together with Pertamina, the Energy Ministry's Directorate General of Oil and Gas and has alerted 30 LPG terminals, 723 SP(P)BE and 5,027 LPG agents. The prognosis for the resilience of the national LPG stock is in a safe condition with an LPG having a coverage days average of 14 days.
LPG stocks will be kept stable during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2024, and 24-hour LPG standby agents and bases will be prepared specifically for areas of high demand.
Erika said that the natural gas distribution for community needs is estimated to reach 846 BBTUD during the period of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2024. The estimate is a minimum of 534 BBTUD on April 11 and a maximum of 937 BBTUD on April 3, 2024. These fuels will be distributed to 3,108 commercial and industrial customers, 1,986 small customers, 817,211 household gas network (Jargas) customers, and power customers, including the PLN Group.
She added that BPH Migas optimizes the natural gas network and infrastructure of more than 32,343 km, 13 SPBGs, 3 MRUs with a capacity of 19,175 LSP, as well as 3 LNG terminals, all of which are safely and reliably managed by PGN.
"We have a safe prognosis for power supply in Java, Bali, Sumatra, Kalimantan and most of the eastern Indonesian power systems during Ramadan and Eid," she said.
According to her, the Directorate General of Electricity and state-owned power company PT PLN (Persero) have put all work units on higher alert to ensure the reliability and quality of electricity supply by preparing operational procedures for the 2024 Ramadan and Eid standby periods.
The Energy Ministry has also formed a Geological Disaster Emergency Response Team that will respond quickly to any disaster that occurs and remain on alert within 24 hours. The team will also intensify careful volcanic monitoring at several active volcanoes.
