TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) on Friday forecasts a flash storm to likely occur in Jakarta during the day that will last until this afternoon.
The BMKG warns of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds of short duration to hit the South Jakarta and East Jakarta areas from noon to evening.
While West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Seribu Islands or Thousand Islands are forecast to be cloudy from noon to evening. The entire Jakarta area, which includes the Thousand Islands is likely to see overcast lasting until the early hours of Saturday.
In general, air temperatures will hover between 23-30 degrees celsius with 80-95 percent humidity.
