BMKG Predicts Rain with Lightning in Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasted that rain, accompanied by lightning, will shower all of the Jakarta areas on Saturday, March 11.

"Be aware of the potential of rain with lightning and strong winds in West, South, and East Jakarta at night,” said BMKG on its official webpage.

It explained that weather conditions in Jakarta from the early morning until night would be cloudy and rainy with moderate intensity.

In all of the Jakarta areas, BMKG said, the weather would be sunny but cloudy, while in the Thousand Islands would be cloudy. At noon, the South and East Jakarta areas are predicted to be pouring with light intensity.

Rain in Early Sunday

In West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Thousand Islands, the weather would be cloudy.

At night, all of the Jakarta areas are predicted to be showered with light-intensity rain, and moderate rain in South Jakarta and East Jakarta.

As for early Sunday, March 12, medium-intensity rain will pour all over the city.

The temperature is estimated at around 23-30 degrees Celcius with 75-90 percent humidity.
