NASA's SpaceX Crew-5 to Return to Earth on Saturday

TEMPO.CO, Los Angeles - NASA's SpaceX Crew-5 mission is scheduled to undock from the International Space Station (ISS) and return to Earth on Saturday, March 11, according to NASA.

The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft will undock from the ISS at 2:05 a.m. Saturday Eastern Time to begin the journey home.

The spacecraft is scheduled to splash down in the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Florida at 9:02 p.m. Saturday, according to NASA.

The splashdown will wrap up a nearly six-month science mission for NASA astronauts Josh Cassada and Nicole Mann, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Koichi Wakata, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina.

The spacecraft also will return time-sensitive research to Earth, according to NASA.
