TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) seized 56 units of operational vehicles of the ACT (Aksi Cepat Tanggap) Foundation on Wednesday, 27 July. The Bareskim's Special Economic Crimes Sub-Directorate (Dittipideksus) took 44 cars and 12 motorcycles from Subhan, the general affairs officer of ACT.
The confiscated vehicles are currently stored in a warehouse in Bogor, Jawa Barat due to a limited space in the police headquarters' storage facility.
Brig. Gen. Ahmad Ramadhan, head of Public Information at the Indonesian Police Public Relations Division, said on Thursday that the warehouse in Bogor has locks and is closed off, keeping the vehicles safe, ANTARA reported.
Meanwhile, Sub-directorate IV chief of the Dittipideksus, Sr. Comr. Pol. Andri Sudarmaji, said that the police are still monitoring and recording assets related to ACT. He said it is likely that more vehicles will be seized.
"These are only [vehicles] that we have put in today's data log, there's possibly more," he said.
The police have named ACT active president Ibnu Khajar and former president Ahyudin, along with other high-ranking ACT officials Hariyana Hermain and Novariandi Imam Akbari, as suspects in the allegation of donation funds misappropriation.
They are suspected of embezzling the remainder of Boeing's CSR funds that were given to the heirs of the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash. The total value was Rp34 billion.
Investigators also suspect money laundering through shell companies owned by ACT. ACT is suspected of having 10 shell companies engaged in charity and business.
