Batam Police to Apply E-Ticketing System

27 July 2022 09:32 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Traffic Directorate of the Riau Islands Police is set to apply the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) e-ticketing system in Batam. At present, three ticketing cameras equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology have been installed across the city.

“The three locations are in the outer KDA, in front of Panbil, and in the intersection near the Grand Mosque,” said the Police Traffic Director Sr. Comr. Tri Yulianto as quoted from the National Police’s Traffic Management Center (NTMC) page today, July 27, 2022.

Tri said the number of electronic ticketing cameras would later be increased according to the existing budget. The Riau Police are also preparing for ETLE Mobile, including a special camera to be used by officers.

“ETLE Mobile requires a special device, so it is still being processed. As soon as [the device] is ready, we will immediately distribute it,” Tri added.

Thus, the public is advised to always obey the applicable traffic rules and signs in order to prevent traffic accidents.
