TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Religious Affairs Ministry's Directorate General of Islamic Education collaborating with PT. Duta Digital Informatika (Dugi) to accelerate the digitization of learning in Islamic educational institutions or madrasas. The program is developed within the 'Digital Adventures in Learning Workshop' with Google Workspace for Education.
Dugi is an official partner of Google that develops and delivers public and corporate services through the support of technology contributed by Google.
The ministry's director general of Islamic education, M. Ali Ramdhani, said the program is an effort to provide the latest educational services for students in madrasas.
"Today, we want to encourage children into becoming the future's main actors in an axis of progress. They are not at the corners of the times, they are not at the corners of development, but they are objects as well as subjects of development," he said as quoted from the official website of the Religious Affairs Ministry on April 13.
Country Lead of Google Education Indonesia, Olivia Husli Basrin, said that the digital transformation of education has become a must, particularly since the pandemic, as it will continue to change the teaching and learning process in the future.
