NTB Readies Free Shuttle Bus Service for World Superbike Mandalika Event

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Transportation Agency provides more than 100 free shuttle buses during the World Superbike or WSBK championship in Mandalika Circuit, Lombok. The subsidized vehicles are available because other vehicles are not allowed to pass the international circuit.
“Only spectators are allowed to enter [the circuit], except for local residents. There will be five points for checking vehicles,” said NTB Transportation Agency Head Lalu Moh Faozal on Monday, November 15.
The 21 units of free vehicles will be available from the former Selaparang Airport with a capacity of 30 seats, as well as 4 buses with a capacity of 40 seats. From Lombok Airport, there will be 5 vehicles with a capacity of 18 seats and 12 HiAce shuttle buses.
The agency also prepared 26 units in Kayangan Port of East Lombok with a capacity of 15 seats each, 25 units of HiAce shuttle buses in Lembar Port of West Lombok, and 15 vehicles in Bangsal Port of North Lombok with a capacity of 15 seats.
The NTB Transportation Organization (Organda) Head Junaidi Kasum said the subsidized vehicles are not sufficient to accommodate visitors, the Transportation Agency will provide special rental transport at Rp150,000 from Lombok Airport to Mataram. There will also be a daily vehicle rental service at around Rp850,000 per vehicle.
