Jakarta Logs 140 New Covid-19 Cases, 0.8 Percent Positivity Rate

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta government on Sunday, October 10, recorded 140 new confirmed Covid-19 cases from 21,634 PCR swab test specimens.

Head of the Jakarta Health Agency’s Disease Prevention and Control, Dwi Oktavia, on Sunday said “Out of the number of tests, 18,605 people were PCR-tested to diagnose new cases and the result shows there are 140 new confirmed cases and 18,465 tested negative.”

An antigen test towards 24,152 people resulted in 10 positives and 24,142 negatives. Active cases have also increased by 67, totaling the number of treated patients and people under Covid-19 isolation to 1,723. 

Jakarta’s total cases amount to 859,161 with 843,891 recoveries and 13,547 deaths, which makes the recovery rate amount to 98.2 percent with a 1.6 percent mortality rate. Meanwhile, the capital city’s positivity rate for the past week is currently 0.8 percent with a total case percentage of 13.3 percent.
