TEMPO.CO, JakartaCorporate Secretary of state-owned pharmaceutical firm PT Kimia Farma, Ganti Winarno, announced that his side postponed the implementation of paid Covid-19 vaccination as part of the Gotong Royong Vaccination program, which was initially started on Monday, July 12.

“We apologize that the individually-paid vaccination which was originally scheduled to commence on Monday, July 12, will be delayed until further notice,” said Ganti to Tempo today, July 12.

He explained that the management decided to extend the dissemination or the campaign period of the self-paid vaccine program due to high public enthusiasm and many questions regarding the program. Besides, the management needed to arrange the registration scheme.

“Thank you for customers' understanding and interest in helping to achieve herd immunity together in Indonesia,” Ganti remarked.

Previous reports suggested that Kimia Farma planned to open the paid Covid-19 vaccination program for individuals beginning Monday, July 12. Acting President Director of Kimia Farma Diagnostik Agus Chandra said that for the first stage, the service would be available at eight clinics in Java and Bali.
