TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders refused to revoke the commission’s decree (SK) No. 652 of 2021 concerning the results of the civic knowledge test or known as TWK.

The commission's Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata revealed reasons for rejecting the objection letter submitted by seven of the 75 employees who failed the test.

“KPK has issued a decree No. 652 of 2021 dated May 7 as a follow-up to the result of the civic knowledge test given by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) to the KPK, which explained that 75 employees did not the requirements to become state apparatus (ASN),” said Alex in an official statement received by Tempo on Thursday, June 3.

Alex said the decree was based on the duties and authorities of the anti-graft body to issue a policy and strategy of corruption eradication in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as the principle of good governance.

The KPK leaders, Alex said, took mitigation of risks or issues that might arise from the employees who did not meet the requirements to be ASN.

“On that basis, we’d like to state that KPK leaders cannot fulfill the request of Sujanarko et al to revoke the decree,” Alex underlined.

Previously reported, seven employees who were declared failed the TWK submitted an objection letter to KPK leaders. They are the director of the inter-commission network unit Sujanarko, the head of internal learning task force Hotman Tambunan, the anti-corruption campaign director Giri Supradiono, and the other four employees namely Samuel Fajar, Novariza, Benydictus S, and Tri Artining Putri.
