TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesperson on Monday, May 31, announced that the anti-graft commission had sent a ‘red notice’ request to the national central bureau (NCB) interpol Indonesia aimed at graft fugitive Harun Masiku.

“This move was done to quickly find the fugitive,” said acting KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri on Wednesday, June 1.

Without spilling anymore details, Ali said that his request was filed to complete the investigation against the former PDIP member. He did not reveal any details about Masiku’s whereabout despite KPK’s request to the Interpol implies the fugitive is currently overseas.

During an interview at a popular program known for being critical ‘Mata Najwa,’ KPK investigator Harun Al Rasyad said Harun Masiku currently resides in Indonesia but said that he was unable to reveal Harun Masiku’s specific whereabouts. Al-Rasyid previously failed the controversial civic knowledge test (TWK) and was ordered to hand-over the investigation to his superior.
