TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-owned bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta or Transjakarta has reopened its Ragunan - Blok M line via Kemang Raya or Line 6N. The non-corridor or non-Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route was temporarily suspended following the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy.
“As community activities begin recovering, this route will resume operating and serving passengers starting today,” said the Corporate Operational Director Prasetia Budi in a written statement, Friday, March 12.
A total of 10 medium-sized buses will serve the route connecting Ragunan and Blok M via Kemang Raya every day from 05:00 until 22:00 local time. “The number of passengers is still limited to 50 percent of the maximum capacity. For medium bus, it will be a maximum of 30 people.”
Prasetya appealed to passengers to comply with the predetermined health protocols amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The management has also provided hand sanitizers and signs to ensure passengers keep their distance from each other on the bus.
The Ragunan - Blok M via Kemang Raya route is the 15th line that has been reoperated during the pandemic. Transjakarta plans to reopen other routes gradually based on public demand.
