TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria called on the public to report companies or offices that do not apply the capacity limitation at 25 percent, which is part of the tighter social restriction that is valid from January 11-25, 2021.
Riza said people could file a report on the health protocols violations through the city-owned app JAKI. “We have already developed the app. Report it then we will take action,” he said at the City Hall on Monday, Jan. 11.
The monitoring officers from the Manpower Agency, he argued, could not be able to supervise all workspaces in the capital that reached some 80,000. Thus, he hoped workers could help the supervision.
“If we all become the government’s eyes for the interest of Jakarta people, of course, there will be no more people violating [the social restriction rules],” said the Gerindra politician.
Riza underlined that the government needed support from business players and company owners to be disciplined in applying the predetermined health protocols in an effort to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission. To quickly recover the economy, he opined, all parties must help ensure that the health sector is the top priority during this pandemic.
