Govt Slashes Year-end Collective Leaves

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The coordinating minister of human development and cultural affairs, Muhadjir Effendy, announced a reduction of the year-end annual collective leave with three days slashed from the calendar from December 28 to 30.
“Technically the collective holidays from December 28-30 will be reduced. This decision will be signed by three state ministers; the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister, the Minister of Manpower, and the Religious Affairs Minister,” said Muhadjir Effendy in a virtual press conference on Tuesday, December 1.
The year-end collective leaves, mainly for Christmas leave, will start from December 24 up to December 27.
Meanwhile, the Eid al-Fitr collective leave that was not implemented this year will be moved to December 31 and will continue to January 1, 2021, while January 2 and 3 are weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
