Jakarta Emergency Hospital Reports 19,688 Covid-19 Recoveries

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital in Jakarta's Kemayoran district reported that 19,688 Covid-19 patients have recovered after undergoing treatment. From March 23 to October 14, the makeshift hospital has treated 21,092 people infected with the new coronavirus.
"We have 356 people referred to other hospitals because their conditions worsened, while seven people have died," Wisma Atlet's spokesman, Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, said in a written statement.
As per today, there are 1,404 inpatients who tested positive for the coronavirus. This number is down by 14.
The Wisma Atlet also takes in asymptomatic patients for self-isolation. There are currently 1,245 of them staying in towers 4 and 5 of the building complex.
Since September 15, Wisma Atlet has taken in a total of 7,745 people for self-isolation in towers 4 and 5. "We urge the public to continue obeying health protocols," Aris Murdan said.
