TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian COVID-19 task force on Monday reported rising positive cases nationwide to a total of 307,120, with additional 3,622 as of October 5. 

Based on the Health Ministry’s records up to 12:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), the amount of positive cases came from the examination of 27,024 specimens. 

Recovery cases have also increased by 4,140 cases to 232,593 cases. Meanwhile, the death rate rose to 11,253 cases with additional 102 deaths due to the coronavirus. 

Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has cemented the importance of implementing the proper health protocols at all times, such as wearing face masks, practicing safe physical distancing in public spaces, and maintaining self hygiene especially by washing one’s hands.
