Two New COVID-19 Clusters Detected in West Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two neighboring units (RT) in the community unit or RW 05 of Wijaya Kusuma, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, were declared as new COVID-19 clusters.
“They are RT 01 and RT 02 in RW 05 of Wijaya Kusuma. The residents are undergoing individual quarantine,” said the sub-district head of Grogol Petamburan, Didit Sumaryanta, in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 22.
At least 29 residents in the area contracted the novel coronavirus disease, based on the results of their swab tests. They allegedly got infected during a neighboring meeting.
A total of 94 people in the area underwent a mass swab test on Friday, July 17.
Dozens of people were taken to the Athlete’s Dorm Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran, while one patient was rushed to the hospital as he had other congenital diseases (comorbid).
“We have taken 19 people to Wisma Atlet, 14 people today and five others last night,” Didit outlined.
The regional administration planned to sterilize the two RT with disinfectant starting Thursday, July 23, 2020.
