TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil announced Friday that the coronavirus rapid testing held in Bandung uncovered 226 positives from a new cluster that came from attendees of the Lembang Bethel Church of Indonesia (GBI) event.
“There were 226 positives results in Bandung city, and the majority of which came from the GBI Lembang cluster,” said Ridwan Kamil in the press conference streamed live from Bandung’s Negara Pakuan Building on Friday.
The governor said the West Java administration received a report on 677 positive cases from 15,000 test results that came out of the 61,000 coronavirus rapid test kits distributed across 27 areas in the region. However, he asserted the results only indicated positive results, and that the definitive results only came from swab tests.
Most of the positive coronavirus tests came from Sukabumi and Bandung city.
The largest positive results in Sukabumi came from the tests at the Sukabumi Police Officer Candidate School (Setukpa) that produced 310 positive results. Meanwhile, the rapid tests in Bandung found that most positive cases came from people who attended the Lembang Bethel Church of Indonesia (GBI) event.
