KPK's Novel Baswedan Wants to be Confronted with His Attackers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Novel Baswedan's lawyer Saor Siagian, said that his client wants to be confronted with his two suspected attacker, RB and RM. The Indonesian National Police recently arrested the two, who are suspected to be responsible for the acid attack against Novel. 

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator was attacked in the early dawn of April 11, 2017, while walking home from a mosque near his home. 

"Novel wants to meet the two suspects," said Saori amidst Novel's questioning at the Metro Jaya Police headquarters on Monday, January 6, 2020.

The lawyer said that Novel's wishes have been expressed to police investigators but are yet to be followed up.

Previously, Novel Baswedan said the two suspects do not resemble the people he believed to have sprayed liquid acid to his face on that fateful day. He also said he does not know the men throughout his career in the police institution.
