TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Yogyakarta’s Prabowo – Sandiaga Uno campaign team Dharma Setiawan said Prabowo's supporters that changed the lyrics of a rapper Marzuki Kill the DJ’s Jogja Istimewa was merely a spontaneous act.
“The Prabowo – Sandiaga Uno campaign team never purposely planned the campaign,” said Dharma.
He explained that it was mainly a meeting between female volunteer members who started to chant songs spontaneously to lighten up the situation at the time.

Dharma argues that people might have unaware of the copyright of the song, which drove them to change the lyrics with words that show support for Prabowo – Sandiaga Uno.
“The song was actually used as internal chants between the volunteers. However, in this case, the video recording was uploaded onto a social platform and went viral. This may have led the composer to think that it was used for the interest of a certain group,” he explained.
However, Dharma appreciated and supports the attitude shown by Marzuki ‘Kill the DJ’ who barred his rap music to be used by any of the groups running in the 2019 presidential election.
