Prabowo - Sandiaga Camp in Search of Fresh Funding

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno campaign team treasurer Thomas Muliatna Djiwandono expressed his eagerness to attract new financial backing from business owners in the wake of the presidential election.
“As a treasurer, I am really hoping for some help,” said Thomas when reached by Tempo on Monday, January 7.

The inability to attract new source of funding is clearly a stark contrast to the recent claim made by the campaign team’s internal survey, which said the electability of Prabowo and Sandiaga Uno has been improving and growing competitively.
Sandiaga Uno claims that he had met with 40 owners of major enterprises in hopes of attracting their interests.
As of December 2018, the campaign team reported that it managed to collect Rp54 billion. This number mainly came from Sandiaga Uno as the largest financial backer (Rp39.5 billion) followed by the second largest by the Presidential candidate himself, Prabowo Subianto (13.05 billion).
