KPK to Quiz 2 Doctors over Sukamiskin Prison Bribery Case

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) would quiz two doctors worked in Sukamiskin Prison, Bandung, West Java today, October 11.


The two doctors namely Dr. Dewi Musni Ayu and Dr. R. Beny Benardi would be examined for Fahmi Darmanwansyah, the convict of Bakamla graft case.


“Both will be questioned as witnesses for the suspect FD (Fahmi Darmanwansyah),” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah in an official statement, Thursday, October 11.

The investigation towards two doctors of the special jail for corruptor was related to the issuance of sick permission for Fahmi, director of PT Merial Esa. Fahmi was suspected of giving bribe to the prison warden Wahid Husen in the exchange of facilities and permission to leave the jail due to illness.


KPK had previously named Fahmi, Wahid, Hendry Saputra and Andri Rahmat as the suspect of graft case.


Wahid was suspected to receive the bribe from Fahmi for the trading of facilities and exit-entry permits at Sukamiskin Prison, while Hendry Saputra and Andri Rahmat were detained as the intermediary of the bribe.


KPK seized Rp279.92 million and US$1,410 in cash and two vehicles Mitsubishi Triton Exceed and Mitsubishi Pajero Sports Dakkar believed to be the bribe for Wahid.
