TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questions a member of the House (DPR) for the period of 2009-2014 Djamal Aziz for the e-KTP corruption case. He is examined as a witness for Markus Nari, a Golkar Party politician who is also a DPR member.

"Yes it’s right, [Djamal] is examined for the suspect MN,” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah, on Wednesday, April 25.

Djamal arrived at the KPK building at around 10:00 am. He came alone and to the reporters, Djamal said he would be examined for Markus.

KPK assigned Markus as a suspect of e-KTP corruption on July 19, 2017. The anti-graft agency suspected Markus had enriched a number of corporations in the e-KTP procurement project.

KPK also alleged Markus Nari received Rp4 billion from the former Director General of Population and Civil Registry at the Home Affairs Ministry, Irman. The money is expected to smoothen the budget extension of the e-KTP project as much as Rp1,4 trillion at the DPR in 2012.
