They made the statement when visiting three major churches in Jakarta, the Menteng HKBP Church, the Immanuel Church, and the Jakarta Cathedral on Christmas Eve.

According to Tito, there is no threat of terrorism. Nevertheless, the police and the TNI continue their guards to ensure that situations will remain under control until January 2, 2018.

"This proves that the Indonesian people are tolerant despite our diversity," Tito told reporters at the Jakarta Cathedral.
