TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will continue to wait for Setya Novanto (Setnov) to recover, so he can undergo investigation and trial for e-KTP case.

"We will coordinate further with the doctor on his medical condition. When SN (Setya Novanto) is deemed `fit to be questioned` or `fit to stand in trial` based on the doctor’s prognosis, investigation and trial can be carried out," KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah said in Jakarta on Friday, Nov. 17.

He stated that KPK fully trusts objectivity of Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM) and their coordination with Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI).

The House of Representatives (DPR) speaker is currently undergoing treatment in RSCM after transferred from Medika Permata Hijau Hospital for single-vehicle collision in Permata Berlian area in South Jakarta on Thursday evening.

KPK also has issued a warrant for Setnov from November 17 to Desember 6, 2017.

However, since Setya Novanto is in bad health condition, he is hospitalized because even without his status as a suspect, he still needs to take the same treatment.
