Terror in Police HQ: Two Victims Undergo Plastic Surgery

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two members of Mobile Brigadier (Brimob) who fell victim to an attack in Falatehan Mosque, South Jakarta, had to undergo plastic surgery.
"Last night they were operated,” medical services and treatment head of Police Hospital Sr. Comr. dr. YayokWitarto said on Saturday, July 1. After the surgery, the condition of both patients, Adj. Comr. Dede Suhatmi and Brigadier Syaiful, is starting to get better.

Dede and Syaiful were stabbed by an unknown man after doing Isha prayer (communal evening prayer) in Falatehan Mosque around the headquarters on Friday. Both suffered from injuries on the neck, ear up to their face.
Both had been treated in Pertamina General Hospital, South Jakarta before they were transferred to Kramat Jati Police Hospital. "They were treated by a team of plastic specialist surgeon, general surgeon, and anesthesiologist," Yayok explained. Despite their good condition, both need constant observation to ensure their health condition.

National Police spokesman Brigadier General Rikwanto said that after stabbing the two officers, the perpetrator threatened other members of the congregation by using a knife. Later he fled to Blok M bus terminal, but the police gunned him down.
