Ahok to Visit Churches to Monitor Christmas Security

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama will be visiting four churches to monitor security before the Holy Mass on Thursday evening, December 24. Ahok plans to monitor Christmas with Metro Jaya Regional Police Department Chief Inspector General Tito Karnavian.



Those four churces include Yohanes Maria Vianne church in Cipayung, East Jakarta, GPIB Paulus church in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Katedral Church in Central Jakarta, and GPIB Immanuel church in Gambir, Central Jakarta.



Ahok says he will just be going around tonight without participating in the Holy Mass. “I will only be checking and going around. I will be performing the Mass on Friday morning,” said Ahok.



The Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat will also be running several agenda of monitoring Christmas’ Eve in North Jakarta Mayor Office and visit Salib Suci Church and Tugu Church in Cilincing, North Jakarta.
