Indonesia vs Argentina Match; Jakarta Police Deploy 5,000 Personnel

TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta Metro Police preparing 5,596 personnel to guard the FIFA Matchday game of Indonesia vs Argentina national teams at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Senayan, Central Jakarta. The event will be held on Monday, June 19, at 19:30 Jakarta Time.

“The personnel to be involved are from Polda Metro Jaya Police, Central Jakarta Police, TNI (military), and Jakarta Administration,” said Jakarta Police Chief of Public Relations Sr. Comsr. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to the journalists on Saturday, June 17.

The authorities prepare 5,253 personnel from Polda Metro Jaya Police and Central Jakarta Police, 212 personnel from BKO TNI, and 131 personnel from Jakarta Administration. In addition, there are 672 security personnel at GBK.

Jakarta Traffic Police director Adj. Sr. Comsr. Doni Hermawan said that his side is conducting the preparation for the security surrounding the location. “We’re conducting a tactical floor game that involves all personnel,” said Doni. 

He calls on the public to avoid the GBK stadium area to prevent traffic density. Doni added that the police prepared traffic engineering to disperse possible traffic jams in locations near the GBK stadium.
