TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta - The Health Ministry has prepared 13,968 healthcare facilities that are spread across the country to accommodate people who will travel in this year's mudik season or the mass exodus of people in celebration of Eid al-Fitr at Ramadan's end.

The Ministry's spokesperson for Covid-19 vaccination Siti Nadia Tarmizi said the facilities range from community health centers (puskesmas), hospitals, public safety centers, port health centers, and health posts.

"We have prepared 13,968 health facilities in all provinces to serve the community both on their homecoming trips and in destination areas so that access towards health services remains strong," she said in a written statement, Thursday, April 21.

Health posts will be stationed across Mudik routes at toll road gates, toll roads, public highways, and a number of tourism sites. Each post will have an ambulance.

The Health Ministry continues to urge people to get their booster shots before departing for mudik as it would provide extra immune protection amid the ongoing pandemic.
