TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A landslide hit railway in the area of Cicewol Village, Sukabumi, West Java, on Saturday, December 7, canceling four train schedules of Sukabumi-Bogor's KA Pangrango. The natural disaster hit the railway located between Cicurug and Parungkuda train stations.

"The trips that are canceled include the Sukabumi-Bogor route at 05:15, Bogor-Sukabumi route 07:50, Sukabumi-Bogor at 10:25, and Bogor-Sukabumi at 13:10," said Sukabumi Station chief Heru Salam to reporters in Sukabumi, West Java, today, Dec. 7.

Based on collected reports, the landslide occurred on Friday night, December 6, after heavy rain poured in the area, causing the land that supports the railway to slide.

State railway operator KAI of operational area 1 is attempting to repair the damaged railway. However, they could yet to confirm when will KA Pangrango reoperate and affirmed that all the trips on Saturday are canceled.

KAI apologized to all the passengers for the inconvenience, hoping the repairment will soon be finished and it can continue the services.
