TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Energy and Mineral Resources Minister, Sudirman Said, gave his response to an anonymous Twitter account, @MataMataRakyat, that has accused him of trying to dominate the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for political reasons that involve oil businesses.

He strongly denies each and every allegation the Twitter account has accused him of. Sudirman maintains that the accusations are mere slanders.

“I am amazed by the account’s author for seriously preparing slanders and lies,” said Sudirman in a written statement on Wednesday.

Sudirman said the series of tweets that are highly organized led him to believe the authors behind the account are professional writers that are operating under a team. He asserts that they managed to connect dots that do not exist and package them as a factual event.

@MataMataRakyat tweeted a series of tweets entitled “Revealing Sudirman Said’s Strategic Networking to Control the KPK,” on Saturday, October 6, that lasted to the following day on Sunday.

The tweets accused Sudirman Said of controlling the KPK in an attempt to control the country’s oil trade network. The twitter account also implicated Governor Anies Baswedan and KPK investigator Novel Baswedan.
