TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that PLN president director Sofyan Basir has returned to Indonesia. Sofyan was said to have been in Paris, France.

"Today we received information that the person in question has returned to Indonesia," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said in Jakarta, Thursday, April 25.

Febri said that the KPK will question Sofyan as a suspect in the Riau 1 steam power plant project bribery case. The exact date for the questioning is to be announced.

On Monday, April 22, the KPK named Sofyan as a suspect in the Riau 1 Bribery case under charges of helping Eni Saragih accepted bribes from Johanes B. Kotjo.

Eni is the former deputy of DPR's Energy Commission, while Kotjo is a shareowner at coal company Blackgold Natural Resources Ltd.

The KPK also accuses Sofyan of saying yes to a promise of a bribe; the same amount that Eni received from Kotjo.
