TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono has set a schedule for the 32-kilometer Salatiga-Kartasura section in the Trans Java toll road to be complete and ready to serve home-comers for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
“God willing, the entire section of Trans Java toll road will be operative before December this year. It will be fully operable and its status is not just a functional toll road,” said Basuki today.
The toll road reportedly will not charge its users during its initial public opening.

According to Basuki, other sectors of the Trans Java toll road—such as the Pejagan-Pemalang and the Sragen-Ngawi sections—will gradually be fully operable by the end of December of 2019.
Basuki also said that the Kali Kenteng Bridge, which is located in a critical point of the Trans Java toll road during the 2018 Eid al Fitr homecoming season, was 95 percent complete and undergoing its final parts of construction.
