TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman said the antigraft body will announce the names of new suspects in the electronic ID (e-KTP) case.
"We will announce it this month," the KPK chairman Agus Rahardjo said in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 11, 2017. "The case hearing is done and the case has been decided."
Agus was unwilling to name the new suspect, or suspects, in the case that had caused Rp2.3 trillion state loss. He also refused to say from what social circle the suspect(s) come from. "Just wait, OK."

To date, KPK has named three people as suspects in the e-KTP corruption case. They are the Home Affairs Ministry's former director general of the population and civil registration Irman, the same directorate's former director of information management and administration Sugiharto, and Andi Narogong a.k.a. Andi Agustinus—a businessman affiliated with the consortium of the e-KTP project.
Irman and Sugiharto have undergone trial in the Corruption Court. This week, both of them will hear be given the judges' verdicts. Meanwhile, Andi Narogong is still being prosecuted by KPK investigators.
