TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - The Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police Insp. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said that operation Tinombala in Poso, Central Sulawesi, will continue during the holy month of Ramadan.
“During fasting [month], Operation Tinombala continues. The joint task force will keep looking for Santoso and his followers,” Insp. Gen. Boy Rafli said on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, in Police Headquarters, Jakarta.
He added that during Ramadan a number of police officers will patrol around mosques and public facilities that are vulnerable in Poso. “Operation Tinombala is not only aimed at capturing Santoso but also preventing disturbance against those who perform their prayers there,” he added.
According to him, up to the second day of fasting, situation in Poso is still conducive.
