TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Chairman of Legislative Board of House of Representatives (DPR), Firman Subagyo, said that until now the government has not received an official letter about the revocation of the proposed revision of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)’s law. So it remained became a priority discussion in 2015.

"It's been five days since I heard the information that President Jokowi want to revoke, but until this moment there is no letter of revocation. Thus, the position remains a priority to be discussed this year," said Firman Subagyo in the discussions 'Revision of KPK’s law’ in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday, July 7.

The discussions also presented other speakers, the member of KPK’s selection committee team Dr. Yenti Garnasih, and KPK’s advisor H. Abdullah Hehamahua. According to Firman, the revision of KPK’s law had decided in plenary of Parliament to be a priority in 2015. Therefore, he added, if the government wanted to pull out then there were mechanismsthat must be passed.

"In his official speech, Law and Human Rights Minister Yasona Laoly declared this proposal (revised of KPK’s Law) on behalf of the government. It's official," said Firman. But lately, President Jokowi has ordered State Secretary Pratikno to revoke the proposed revision of KPK Law.
