TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Online ride-hailing company Go-Jek had acquired an advertising company Promogo. Nila Marita, Chief of Go-Jek Indonesia`s Corporate Affairs is optimistic the acquisition would increase the income of driver partners and entrepreneurs to place commercials.
With the acquisition, Nila estimated, Go-Jek driver partners would gain higher income up to Rp2 million without extending the work hour. “Customers will also experience the more convenient ride,” she said in a written statement, Monday, September 17.
Other than higher income for drivers, Promogo CEO and Founder Andrew Tanyono explained passengers would get various on-the-go entertainments on their rides such as movies, music, charging service, Wi-Fi, and news. “Entrepreneurs can also provide a free sample of brands advertised in Promogo’s assets for customers,” he said.
Through Promogo, Andrew mentioned, Go-Jek vehicles would be equipped with in-car entertainment products, namely Go-Ice and on-the-go retail market Go-Vend in which customers would get a free sample from a well-known brand in Go-Car.
Meanwhile, Go-Jek Fleet Monetization Head Kapil Baldev Mathrani said the new feature showed that the company has more competitive growth in the market which was driven by technology.
According to Mathrani, entrepreneurs could lower the operational costs while maintaining the good image and good service of Go-Jek for customers. “Further, with our data and analytic skills, Promogo will help business people compete effectively in the market,” he concluded.
