TEMPO.CO, Palembang - The Siloam International Hospitals highly committed to supporting the 18th Asian Games on August by preparing its two hospitals, Siloam Sriwijaya in Palembang and MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi in Jakarta.
Siloam Sriwijaya hospital director Hariyanto Sulaiman said the emergency unit will be opened for 24 hours to cater the Asian Games athletes and officials. More than 300 people consisting of doctors, nurse, and specialist doctors will also be deployed.
“Patients will get a complete treatment in Siloam Hospital,” he said.
The hospital, located in Lippo Plaza Jakabaring complex, will provide 24-hour ambulance service and emergency medical staffs. Medical equipment will be ready for urgent situations such as heart attacks, stroke, and heavy bleeding.
Meanwhile, Lippo Group president director Theo L. Sambuaga said he committed to succeeding the pan-Asian multisports event through its subsidiary companies. “We are here to participate in and succeed the Asian Games,” he said on Saturday, July 28.
Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital, Palembang, was officially opened today, July 28, by James T. Riady as the CEO of Lippo Group along with West Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin, and Inasgoc head Erick Thohir.
James T. Riady said the participation and supports of Siloam towards the establishment of Asian Games is part of its long-term commitment to contribute for Indonesia.
