TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three explosions occurred at Pogar, Pasuruan, East Java, on Thursday afternoon, July 5. East Java Police spokesperson Sr. Commr. Frans Barung Mangera said the explosions occurred at 11:30 am.
“That’s correct. There were allegedly bomb explosions,” Frans told journalists on Thursday, July 5.

According to Frans, the first explosion occurred from inside a house rented by A and DR. During the first explosion, a witness came and checked into the house and came out later because of the smell of gunpowder.
“Because of fear, the witness finally came out. When the witness was outside the house, he heard the second explosion,” he said.
Frans said frightened residents eventually stayed away from the house. At that instant, someone unknown came out of the house carrying a backpack.
“Police officers chased the person to the west which then the third explosion was heard from the village road,” said Frans.

The witness said that the perpetrator then returned to the house. On a motorcycle, the person carried a black backpack and headed to east.
Frans said the explosion injured a six-year-old child. “[the victim was] a little boy, and [he’s] about six years old. [He is] the son of the person wo rented the house,” he said.
