TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airliner Garuda Indonesia eyes to earn Rp180 billion, 2 million website visitors, and 50,000 new users of its application platform through Garuda Online Travel Fair (GOTF) that will be started next month.
“In GOTF last year, Garuda Indonesia succeeded to bring 14,000 international tourists to all destinations in Indonesia – particularly to Jakarta and Denpasar,” said President Director of Garuda Indonesia Pahala N. Mansury in a written statement on Thursday, April 26.
Pahala explained the travel fair will be held in two sessions; on May 2 that is special for GARUDA BNI co-brand credit card users, and on May 3-9 for the public in general. People can purchase the domestic or international ticket via Garuda official websites or Garuda smartphone application using promo code GOTF.

He added that GOTF is one of many efforts to support the government, particularly Tourism Ministry, in a bid to accomplish the target of 270 million of domestic tourists and 17 million of international tourist this year.
“In phase one, our five flagship destinations are Balikpapan, Denpasar, Labuan Bajo, Wangi-wangi, and Palembang," Pahala said.
BNI, as a bank partner of Garuda in GOTF, offers many interesting promos, such as a discount up to Rp10 million and cashback Rp5 million for the flagship destinations; Bali, Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat, Singapura, Jepang, and London.
“We expected this digital promo will give wide benefit for BNI customers from Sabang to Merauke, or even citizens abroad who willing to come home with the affordable ticket price,” said Retail Business Director of BNI Tambok PS Simanjuntak.
In 2018 GOTF, Garuda Indonesia collaborated with hotel services namely Belhotel International, Agoda, Parador Group Hotel, and Shangri-La Hotel Singapore; trip organizers Holiday and KKDAY; and other business partners for holiday supplies GarudaShop, Blibli.com, Lazada, Shopee, VIP Plaza, and Zalora.
