TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno assured that the shares that the Jakarta Administration has in beer company Delta Jakarta will be divested under the direct orders of Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
"We would like to invest in something that can be felt by the people that benefit the society," Sandiaga said on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.
According to Sandiaga, the administration is currently considering a more transparent process that puts forward the concept of good governance.
"Several financial advisors and strategic investment advisors have submitted their proposals," said Sandiaga.
The Jakarta Administration currently owns 23.25 percent shares in PT Delta, which is a combination of 23.34 percent Jakarta administration shares and 2.91 percent shares owned by BP IPM, a company under the management of the Jakarta administration.
PT Delta Djakarta produces alcoholic beverages for several brands such as Anker, Carlsberg, Kuda Putih, and San Miguel. The Jakarta Administration has invested in this industry since 1970.
