Previously, Jakarta administration planned the design of road and sidewalk in Sudirman-Thamrin area ahead of the XVIII Asian Games in August.

PT Arkonin President Director, the architect appointed by the city administration, Achmad Noerzaman said the road width will be redesigned to 12-15 meters wide after the construction. The road will be divided into facilities or amenities lane and pedestrians lane.

Achmad said there will be bus stops, stalls, toilets, public seats, and also a green space that limits roads and sidewalks. The amenities will range from 3 to 3.5 meters wide. He claimed the facility is deliberately built on the amenities as to not reduce pedestrians lane.
