Chinese New Year Holiday, Jakarta-Solo Train Tickets Sold Out

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Train tickets for Jakarta-Solo during the Chinese New Year holiday 2018 are already sold out, to counter this, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) operate additional trains.
“For the additional trains, there is Argo Lawu Facultative train with the ticket price of Rp450 thousand per passenger. There is a tourist train or priority that has sold 26 seats with the ticket price of Rp800 thousand per passenger,” said Head of Sub-Affairs Commercial Service Solo Balapan Station Budi Arifin in Solo, Tuesday, February 13.
Budi said it will operate on 14, 15 and 18 of February. He hopes it can accommodate the community’s needs.
Meanwhile, the tickets of the regular train are sold out on the date of 14 and 15 February. As for the departure date on February 16, only 36 tickets left for the Argo Lawu train.
Budi said, there is no increase in ticket price. For regular trains, the ticket price is around Rp250 thousand to Rp450 thousand.
According to Budi, the train tickets have been sold three months before departure, to keep the upper and lower limit regulation.
