TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Mandiri (IDX: BMRI) disbursed US$100 million credit to Pertamina as part of a syndicated loan worth a total of US$600 million.
Mandiri’s Wholesale Banking director Royke Tumilaar said via a written statement on Feb. 8 that Mandiri is the only Indonesian bank in the syndicate. Mandiri also acted as the mandated lead arranger.
“Of the US$600 million, Mandiri’s credit portion is the second biggest,” he said.
Pertamina plans to use the loan to develop its oil and gas business.
The collaboration between Bank Mandiri and Pertamina Group also takes form in the provision of banking product and services to help improve Pertamina’s efficiency and liquidity management.
Bank Mandiri also actively provide solutions to help Pertamina meets its foreign exchange (forex) needs, such as through daily forex transactions, derivative transactions, and tripartite treasury.
