DPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo Guarantees No Revision for KPK Law

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The chairman of House of Representatives (DPR) Bambang Soesatyo guarantees that there will be no change or revision of Law No. 30 of 2002 on Corruption Eradication Commission (UU KPK) when he served as the chairman of the House.
"I assure that there are no proposals or recommendations for the changes to KPK Law," said Bambang Soesatyo at Parliament Complex, Senayan, on Monday, January 15.
Besides, Bambang also wants the special committee of the right of questionnaire commission eradication of corruption (KPK Special Committee Questionnaire) is no longer scheduled the summoning to the leader of the Corruption Eradication Commission.
"I hope there will be no more calls to the special committee, only meetings for the preparation of recommendations and conclusions," said Bambang.

Bambang Soesatyo was officially inaugurated as the Chairman of House of Representatives on Monday afternoon, January 15. The man who is familiarly called Bamsoet revealed two things that he will resolve soon after he officially served as Chairman of the House, namely completing the revision of the MD3 Law and drawing up conclusions and recommendations related to KPK Special Committee Questionnaire.
Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto said DPP Golkar wants the dissolution of the KPK Special Committee Questionnaires. According to him, the move is in accordance with the mandate of the Golkar national deliberation, his party does not tolerate all things that weaken the KPK, including KPK Special Committee Questionnaire.
Airlangga also threatened to withdraw the members of Golkar Party Faction from the membership of KPK Questionnaires Special Committee if until the trial date of February 14, 2018, the Special Committee is not dissolved. "I will ask the Chairman of the faction to withdraw all members of the faction of the membership," Airlangga Hartarto said at the Golkar Faction Meeting Room in the House of Representatives of Jakarta, Monday, January 15, 2018.
