TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The contribution of energy and mineral resources (ESDM) sector in 2017 seemed promising.
The initial analysis of 2017 government performance indicated that ESDM sector conferred great contribution to the state revenue.
"In 2017, the realization of energy subsidy went over the state budget, yet the contribution to the state revenue was much greater," quoted from a press release of Cabinet Secretariat of Republic of Indonesia on Sunday (7/1).
Based on 2017 early performance, the realization of energy subsidy was recorded as much as Rp 97.6 trillion unaudited. Such a figure went over the target set in the 2017 revised State Budget, 108.7 percent from the original figure of Rp 89.9 trillion.
Meanwhile, state revenue from energy sector in 2017 significantly rose to Rp 178.1 trillion. The revenue comprises of non-tax state revenue as much as Rp 129.1 trillion and oil and gas revenue tax with Rp 49 trillion. In other words, the revenue far exceeds the subsidy.
