TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Malaysia`s budget airline Air Asia will close down Solo-Kuala Lumpur flight route on mid January 2018.
"On January 16 2018 we will close down Solo-Kuala Lumpur flight route held three times a week. The closedown is due to commercial reasons," Head of Commercial Air Asia Berhad Spencer Lee said on Saturday (6/1).
Without providing further details on the reason of the closedown, the plan has been disseminated to passengers both by e-mail and text message as written in their accounts registered after they purchased tickets.
He also stated that the passengers will be compensated. The compensation includes changing the route from Semarang or Yogyakarta, credit account in Air Asia, or full refund.
"Basically we decided to close down the route after going through a long consideration. Despite the closedown, we are still committed to add the number of flights to Indonesia this year," he said.
