KPK Nabs Six in Sting Operations in S. Kalimantan, E. Java

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Febri Diansyah said that the agency arrested six individuals in sting operations in South Kalimantan and Surabaya, East Java.
“I was told that the money received was over Rp1 billion and allegedly related to a hospital development project in the region,” Febri said at the KPK building in Jakarta on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

Febri also explained the KPK team seized a few hundred million rupiahs in South Kalimantan. But he did not divulge details of the transaction. “More detailed information will be revealed in a press conference tomorrow [Friday],” he said.
Five individuals were arrested in Hulu Sungai Tengah District, Central Kalimantan, and one was nabbed in Surabaya comprising local heads, private company employees and Hulu Sungai Tengah government officials. “We need one day to questioned them,” Febri said.
The KPK had planned to bring the six individuals to the KPK building for questioning.
